Banjo & Mandolin

Banjo Classes at Cascadia

If you have questions about these classes or how to place yourself, email Randal Bays.

Generally the banjo used in Irish music is the tenor (4-string) banjo, played with a flatpick. Tenor guitar and mandolin players are welcome as they share the same tuning and flatpicking techniques.

Advanced/Intermediate - The actual content of the classes is left up to the individual instructor, but you can expect to learn some good tunes and dig into picking technique, ornamentation, rhythm and style.
